The band was formed in Johannesburg in 1974. The original lineup consisted of:
Derrick Dryan – vocals, Attie van Wyk - keyboards, Mick Matthews - guitar and vocals, Fergie Ferguson - bass and vocals and Cedric Samson - drums
The current line-up is a three-piece – Ashley Brokensha, Derrick Dryan & Fergie Ferguson.
After 50 years and chart-topping hits, pop-rock band Ballyhoo is still going strong. The band still has three of its original members and they play countrywide at a variety of venues. See them in Plett and join us for a fantastic trip down memory lane!
