Millennium was founded in 2019 by the three Baard brothers: Christiaan, Hendré & Morné. The brothers originally come from Somerset West. During the lockdown of the pandemic, the three brothers started rehearsing together with the goal of having their debut album ready as soon as the lockdown ended. During that time, the middle brother Hendré wrote all the songs for the album, and their first album “Ewigheid” was released in August 2021. Millennium has already had one “shuffle” when the oldest brother, Christiaan, left to go explore the world. The current line-up of Millennium is: Hendré Baard (lead vocals/guitar), Morné Baard (bass guitar), Leo Zondagh (electric guitar) & Ruan (drums).
