The Cape Malay Choir board has over 3000 active members spanning over 12 communities. Our aim is to keep our culture alive through song. We are celebrating 86 years of formal competition. Our choirs battle it out for top honours in achieving the Silver Fez.
The Cape Malay Choir Board (CMCB) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Cape Malay music and traditions in Cape Town, South Africa. Established in 1939, it’s one of the oldest organisations of its kind, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication through music and performance.
