Join Vusi Mahlasela as part of our Summer Outdoor Concert Season!

On January 3rd, Legendary South African guitarist and singer/songwriter – Vusi Mahlasela will be bringing his heart and songs of love, hope and reconciliation to café Roux for the very first time.

In this stripped-down and intimate acoustic performance, Vusi and his protégé Tsholofelo Papa will be performing Vusi’s characteristic and authentic South African hits, and get the crowd dancing with his township jive classics.

Premium seated table tickets are closer to the stage and enjoy the full café Roux food & beverage menu.Grass tickets further back are offered in spots comprising 2 to 4 tickets. Here, holders are encouraged to bring a blanket or cushions to sit on - and can enjoy a smaller menu of pizza, salads, calamari, burgers & select drinks.

Vusi – known simply as ‘The Voice’ is a South African national treasure and cherished musical and cultural ambassador who was chosen to perform at Nelson Mandela’s 1994 inauguration and continues to inspire new generations through his enduring voice and message.

How to Book:

PREMIUM SEATEDOn the seating plan, just click on your chosen table and, one by one, buy the seats you require at that table (NB: if you don’t buy all the seats on that table, others may buy and sit with you). If you can’t get the table configuration you want and end up booking seats on different tables as a result, please do so under the same email address and we’ll automatically put you together on one table. In fact, any seats booked under the same email address we will assume are together but, if this is not the case, (or if you are booking with friends under different email addresses), just let us know and we’ll make a plan to seat you together. If the event appears sold-out, or you want to add to an existing booking, the same applies - just drop us an email to events@caferoux.co.za and we’ll do our best to make a plan!

If you struggle with the booking or online payment process, or want to swap tables, we can’t help with that - so please contact Quicket on support@quicket.co.za and they will. If you can’t make the show and want to try to resell your tickets, please make use of Quicket’s secondary ticket sale option online - or let us know and we’ll try to sell your tickets on the door.

GRASS TICKETS Simply choose your spot and buy anything from 2 to 4 tickets as you would do when booking a table. Each grass spot has its own drinks tray and is numbered so the waiters will find you easily - and, no matter how many seats you choose, that spot remains yours! Want to be near your friends?
