The CAPE WIND ENSEMBLE conducted by Faan Malan will be performing in the Corpus Christi Church in Panorama on Sunday 22 June at 16:00. The group consists of 45 of Cape Town’s top amateur and semi-professional musicians who will be playing major works such as Symphonic Gershwin, the 3 Bears Suite by Eric Coates and Orient Express by Philip Sparke. Two members of the ensemble, the renowned Cape Town based euphonium player Russell Davies and the exceptional saxophonist Sean Acker will appear as soloists with wind ensemble accompaniment. The programme will also include several toe-tapping favourites such as Jitterbug and Selections from Batman.
