Run Like a Girl - Nonkululeko MlamboRun like a girl takes place in the internal space. It focuses on the internal turmoil that remains as testament of “surviving”. It looks at the universal experience of rape from the perspective of the GIRL,recognizing a frequency that women are obligated to be tuned into. It unpacks the experience of navigating a world after the ultimate betrayal of one’s body being taken hostage. It colours a picture of instability and uncertainty that remains just under the surface of the mask. Likening the navigating of the modern-day world, as a woman, to the experience of navigating a deadly jungle.
