Stellenbosch — Get ready for an evening of nostalgia and timeless classics as Legacy, the beloved band from Gauteng, brings their “Golden Hits Retrospective to the Drostdy Theatre in Stellenbosch on Friday, October 31, at 20:15. The show will feature all your favourite hits from the 60s and 70s, including songs by iconic artists like Simon and Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. Legacy started as a family band in the late 90s with Lars Franzsen, his brother Riel, and his wife Karin. Lars’s daughter Tanja later joined the band, and together they’ve followed their passion for the music of the 60s and 70s. Known for their vibrant and fun performances, Legacy has sold out shows across Gauteng, with their most successful production being Under African Skies – The Simon and Garfunkel Story which premiered at the Afriforum Theatre in Pretoria in March 2023. Now split between Gauteng and the Western Cape, Legacy is excited to bring their energetic and fun-filled performance to Stellenbosch for the first time. The show promises to be an unforgettable night of fun, dancing, and groovy tunes, so don’t forget to dust off those bell bottoms!
