Jannie du Toit and Friends hold a concert entirely in aid of the NCPD (National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities). Together with close friends and a very special guest, Jannie will sing songs that he and his friends have been singing together for decades around braai fires and gatherings at each other’s homes, sometimes on stage.

The special guest is a household name – the singer Frieda van den Heever who is making more and more headlines with her songs and has a special heart for persons with disabilities. She has something very specific to say in her art and she enchants audiences with her stage presentation and piano accompaniment.

There is also Jannie’s long-time friend singer-actor Lochner de Kock, Lars Franzsen’s band LEGACY and some more Franzsens: Karin, Riël and Tanja; also a son-in-law, songwriter/singer Dirk Aldrich.

Last, but not by any means the least, there is another friend since the eighties the brilliant pianist Johan Heystek – who is working with Jannie this year in his production RAMKIETJIE. He will be touring with Jannie in the Cape when the concert takes place.

The NCPD is a non-profit organization of 87 years’ standing that dedicates its activities to promoting the interests of persons with disabilities, including through raising public awareness, advocacy, support and services that enable this ever increasing segment of our population to socially and economically integrate into the broader South African society.

The funds raised on 28 October 2026 will contribute to the NCPD’s continued work to improve the lives, opportunities and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Therina Wentzel-Du Toit, National Director of the NCPD, expresses her sincere appreciation for this initiative and everyone’s participation, which will make a much-needed contribution to the execution of the organization’s overarching mission.

Come enjoy an evening of good music and support a worthy cause.
