Our fav Afrikaans problem child Augusta Zietsman has just debuted a new stage name, ushering in an exciting new era for her music.Enter Sossi – the unapologetic, upbeat side of Zietsman that is turning up the volume, setting her sights on the dance floor. Sossi is all about the energy, the edge, and a beat that hits you right in the chest.Produced by the masterful Peach van Pletzen, Sossi’s debut EP is set for release in late January 2025, and she’s given us a taste of what to expect with a brand new single titled “Blok & Bless”.With a dirty bass line and bold production style, this is Zietsman at her most unadulterated. It’s full of irony and innuendos, accompanied by a satirical music video exploring the ridiculous standards of the entertainment industry.Produced by Hotdog Fight! and directed by Regardt Visser, Sossi’s introduction to the world couldn’t be more unruly, and that’s why it’s so great. Zietsman isn’t taking herself so seriously this time around, exchanging the soulful, ballad acoustics for straight vaaibs.
