James Whyle’s moving and highly original memoir, We Two From Heaven, asks questions about who we are and how we got here. He attempts to address those questions by weaving episodes from his life with letters his father wrote from the battlefield during the First World War. SJ Naudé talks to Whyle about memory, pain and the responsibility that comes with being the guardian of family history.
