Join us for an unforgettable evening as Khayelitsha-born musician, writer, and performer Kitso Seti unveils the world of his forthcoming conceptual album, sons of perdition: umdyarho wamabuzi. It is a sonic rebellion rooted in Black memory, love, grief, and defiant hope.

Grounded in the raw, street-born energy of Spaza music and shaped by township storytelling, spoken word, and jazz improvisation, Seti’s work transforms suffering into chant, mourning into rhythm, and survival into ceremony. This live experience offers an intimate preview of the album arriving in early 2026.

The title sons of perdition challenges the historical anti-Black idea of being condemned, while the isiXhosa subtitle umdyarho wamabuzi (“the rat race”) reflects the inherited struggle for breath, land, dignity, and belonging. Through powerful narration, live instrumentation, and communal expression, Kitso insists that Black life is not forsaken - it is uncontainable and resurrecting.

Featuring an ensemble of celebrated South African artists across jazz, vocals, and performance, this show brings together some of the country’s most compelling voices in a deeply moving, spiritually charged musical ritual.
