Live is Love is a series of events celebrating the transformative power of live music. Our mission is to create spaces where audiences can truly connect with artists and immerse themselves in the magic of shared musical experiences. We believe that music has the unique ability to evoke emotions, inspire connection, and bring people together!

These events will feature a carefully curated lineup of talented musicians who are passionate about their craft. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable to simply listen, engage, and be moved by the music.

Join us for unforgettable evenings filled with soulful melodies, heartfelt performances, and a genuine love for the art of music!!!

In this edition of Live is Love, we are inviting you to join us at Ground Culture to delight in the talents of Hlombekazi, MANA, and FREDDY L.

Hlombekazi is a multidisciplinary artist whose love for music began at a very young age! Hlombekazi’s genre can be described as African Soul and African Jazz. She strongly believes that music was something given to her by her ancestors as a way of communicating with her and the world as a whole!

MANA offers a dreamy set of original music touching on love & pain, using natural principles as guides to navigate through it all. The music is jazz, samba and bossa nova influenced with a tender centre of feminine sensitivity, led by the strong vulnerability of Mana. Often described as ethereal, delicate and honest, the excellent musicianship along with raw emotional drive should have you mesmerised from start to finish.

FREDDY L is a three piece, alternative pop-rock band based between Durban and Cape Town. Although FREDDY L is primarily based in Durban, they have been feeling a strong pull to nourish their existing Cape Town community, on their Mother’s Calling tour. They balance Pop and Rock influences with endemic, South African singer-songwriter sensibilities. Originally a solo act founded by lead singer Ntuthuko (Freddy) Lalendle, 2023 saw the addition of Reece Berkeley (Drums & Production) and Niclaus (p.f.a Spectr) Duvenhage (Bass & Production). The group have since released three singles, titled “Hold On”, accompanied by its highly anticipated music video, “Clueless”, and most recently, “Lucky”, an ode to growth & change.
