Leah Mari is a South African musical theatre performer and vocalist known for her expressive storytelling and rich stage presence. A graduate of the Luitingh Alexander Musical Theatre Academy (LAMTA), she made her professional debut as the alternate Maria in The Sound of Music (Pieter Toerien & Cape Town Opera, 2023/24) and went on to play Marta in the South African premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s Company (2024).

In 2025, Leah earned a Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Best Lead Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, and most recently appeared as Go-To-Hell Kitty in CHICAGO the Musical (Showtime Management 2025).With a background that spans acting, singing and composition, Leah is emerging as one of South Africa’s exciting new musical theatre voices — bringing honesty, humour and heart to every role and performance.
