Women’s Day stands as a reminder of the intersectional experiences of queer (POC) women in South Africa. In the words of Audre Lorde, “I am not free while any woman is unfree,” Lesbian Bar Nights at KAYA Café aim to reflect on protest in celebration, using queer joy as an act of resistance.
