Join us for this rare and incredibly special screening of this unreleased film at The Labia Theatre on the 15th of February from 14h15 - 17h00.

The film suggests and inspires the possibility of rescuing ancestral values to live in harmony with ourselves and the planet, bringing a breath of hope to this critical post-pandemic era.Such a film has never been made before, portraying the profound connection that the Huni Kuin have with diving deep into their culture and daily lives through a rich narrative woven with the words of elders, leaders, and children from different villages set in the enchantment and mystery of the forest.

Join us and witness the cultural revival of an indigenous community, building an ancestral future in their territory.

The film’s director, Patrick Belem, will be present to share his backstage insights and stories woven with pictures and anecdotes of his relationship with the guardians of the forest built over 7 years of the film’s production and the transformation they brought to his personal life.

The screening will begin at 14h30, with a Q&A directly after with director Patrick Belem, followed by Sacred prayers and songs shared by the spiritual leaders Ninawa Pai da Mata and his sons Shané and Yube.
