Based on the acclaimed young adult novel by Marita van der Vyver, the drama
film follows 17-year-old Gabriel who loses his mother in a car accident.
His father, struck by grief, withdraws into the confines of a clinic, and
Gabriel ends up with his aunt and grandmother. He buries his grief behind a
cool façade, wild lies and an overactive imagination.
