“RX Radio Fundraiser with MAJOZI South African Singer-Songwriter, Majozi in collaboration with RX Radio will be hosting a special fundraising benefit concert at café Roux in Noordhoek on the 17th October 2025!
This event aims to fundraise for RX Radio, a radio station that is run by and for children based at Red Cross Children’s Hospital in Cape Town.
The station exists to empower South African children with voice and agency so they can exercise influence within the community and the issues facing them.
This project is quite unique in a sense that it is one of the first radio stations in the world to have children with and without chronic conditions broadcasting from within a hospital. This highly anticipated evening of music and culture is also focused at encouraging the Cape Town community to join our fight in keeping children’s voices on air.
These funds will help us work towards having a sustainable radio station where we train chronically ill and disabled children radio and life skills.
What started as an idea amongst lovers of the arts, music and radio blossomed into a passion project that has finally come into fruition to not only celebrate vibrant and talented individuals but, to also shed light on the importance of keeping children’s voices heard in mainstream media.
BOOKING NOTES:
If you can’t get the table configuration you want and end up booking seats on different tables as a result, please do so under the same email address and we’ll automatically put you together on one table. In fact, any seats booked under the same email address we will assume are together and arrange seating at one table. If this is not the case, however, or if you are booking with friends under different email addresses, just let us know and we’ll make a plan to seat you together. If the event appears sold-out, or you want to add to an existing booking, the same applies – just drop us an email to events@caferoux.co.za and we’ll do our best to make a plan!
