Old Nectar Concerts welcomes Trio Mosaic with flutist Liesl Stoltz, violist Nicolas Corti and guitarist Han Jonkers for a sublime afternoon of chamber music at Old Nectar gardens historic wine cellar in Jonkershoek.
South African flutist Liesl Stoltz, winner of multiple international awards and a leading advocate for South African music, performs with a dynamic blend of technical finesse and interpretive depth. Liesl is a former guest principal flute of the Johannesburg Philharmonic and the Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra. At present she performs extensively as soloist and chamber musician and teaches flute and chamber music at the South African College of Music, University of Cape Town.
Dutch guitarist Han Jonkers, brings poetic sensitivity and rich tonal colour to the programme having performed globally as a soloist and chamber musician, with concert tours spanning South America, Asia, New Zealand, and multiple appearances in South Africa. Swiss violist Nicolas Corti, a seasoned chamber musician and founding member of the celebrated Amati Quartet, which performed in major concert halls around the world and collaborated with prominent musicians. The ensemble released around 30 high-quality recordings, earning several awards in Germany, France, Italy, and Switzerland. From 2005 to 2021, Corti was the solo violist of the Musikkollegium Winterthur and is currently viola and chamber music professor at the Zurich University of Arts. The trio will perform a captivating selection of works by Anton Diabelli, Franz Hasenöhrl, Alfred Uhl, Ernesto Nazareth and Astor Piazzolla, showcasing the unique and expressive textures of this rare instrumental combination.
Join us for this concert on Sunday 21 September 2025 at 4pm. Tickets are R200 per person and include selected wines from Banhoek’s renowned Oldenburg Wine Estate and finger food at interval. Student / learner tickets are offered at R50 per concert at the door. Guests are invited to come early or stay after the concert to enjoy Spring in the Old Nectar gardens.
