Join us for our second annual end-of-year Silent Sunset Disco. After a hugely successful disco last year, we are back for round number two - bigger and better. Like our previous discos, this is a family-friendly fundraiser to raise money to go towards our 2026 programs.

To make things easier for you, this disco will be on a Saturday to allow for the whole family to attend. This means you don’t have to worry about being tired from a long day at work or school. So, imagine a breathtaking sunset, the sound of waves crashing, and you grooving to your favorite tunes—all through a set of the legendary Silent Events headphones.

Our three amazing DJs will keep everyone in the family smiling and dancing under the stars. Our line-up this year will be announced in the coming weeks. But for now, bank on familiar DJs with and maybe a new face in the mix.

This isn’t just a disco, it’s a party for a cause! By joining in on the fun, you will be helping us raise funds for our programs that will take place in 2026 and beyond. Our programs run throughout the year on the very beach that you will be dancing on, along with ocean-oriented lessons at our dedicated Parley Ocean School at our SOA site.

On top of all the stuff mentioned above. We will have Sentinel Ocean Alliance merch and snacks on sale at our much-loved Sentinel Café. So don’t forget to grab some SOA swag to take home with you and your wallet for some tasty treats.

So bring your family, your friends, and your best dance moves to the SOA beachfront site, and let’s light up the night #ForTheOceans!

Heads Up: Tickets will be very limited at the door. The best thing to do is to book your tickets online before the event to avoid disappointment :)

About Sentinel Ocean Alliance:Sentinel Ocean Alliance provides a safe space to create and implement multifaceted youth development programs and environmental initiatives that address real challenges facing the youth of underserved coastal communities. By supporting and enabling future responsible leaders to become ocean activists, we aim to make meaningful contributions to South African society.

About Our Programs:Through our Turn The Tide ocean immersion program, SOA teaches children from underserved coastal communities essential ocean safety and swimming skills to reduce drowning risks. Furthermore, we have recently expanded our program to cater to learners with special educational needs. In addition to our Turn The Tide program, we also run the Parley Ocean School at the SOA site. The Parley Ocean School runs daily classes focusing on marine threats through immersive lessons that inspire marine conservation and cover topics like pollution, natural resource preservation, ocean careers, renewable energy, upcycling, recycling, and eco-conscious living. Together, these initiatives aim to build a safer, more sustainable future for the next generation.

Alcohol and Food Policy:Please note that, due to this event being a family- friendly event, we ask that you avoid bringing alcohol to the disco. No alcohol consumption is permitted while attending our event. Our coffee shop will be open in case you want to have a tasty treat. If you aren’t keen to grab some tasty treats, you are more than welcome to bring a plastic-free picnic. After all, who can dance on an empty stomach?

On The Day Ticket Sales:Please note that online ticket sales will end at 6 pm on 5th December, after which “At The Door” tickets go on sale. We have limited tickets on sale at the door at an increased cost. Don’t miss out, get your tickets online.
