A 1 hour piano recital (15 min interval included) featuring works by J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Ravel, Brahms, Prokofiev, and more.

Please note that the venue is the Voorkamer at St Cyprian’s School in Oranjezicht.

The pianist, Madison le Roux, is a grade 12 learner at St Cyprian’s School in Cape Town. Currently, she studies piano with Sue Paterson-Jones. She made her solo debut with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 12 at the Youth Music Festival in 2019. Madison has been selected to perform in the Hugo Lambrechts Concerto Festival on four occasions. Alongside being a finalist in several national competitions including the Atterbury National Piano Competition and the Hubert van der Spuy National Music Competition, Madison has won first prizes in the National Grahamstown Music Competition, Pieter Kooij Music Competition, Western Cape Piano Festival Competition, and the Johann Vos Music Competition. She was awarded the Michael Masote Prize at the 2022 National Youth Music Competition and advanced to the semifinal round of this prestigious competition in 2024. She will partake in this competition once more in December. Madison plans to pursue a BMus Performance degree at the South African College of Music in 2026.
