Because we know the answer and, generally, we don’t like it, so we may as well not ask.When you admit it, we are just scared animals that come from nothingness into a frankly terrifying world; that desire to be close but still hurt each other; that are all different but still try to be like the others. We contradict ourselves. Even though we don’t like it. And we often take more than we give, without ever meaning to.

25 April 2025. Suspected arson sparks multiple fires in upper Tokai. The blaze consumed over 2800 hectares of Table Mountain National Park, much of it Fynbos. Glimpse gives us a momentary or partial view of the relationship between the human and more than human world.
