In this threshold between worlds, everyone has something to hide. From the overeager receptionist to the ruthless department head, the afterlife’s corporate hierarchy thrives on extracting confessions and maintaining control. When Dolly refuses to comply with their procedures, she threatens to expose the cracks in their system. Because the most dangerous thing a soul can be is noncompliant.
