At their respective clinics, Toni and Dr. Robyn have noticed that many of you are grappling with similar, crucial questions about your health. You’re seeking to understand the connection between your body and mind, and you’re curious about the pros and cons of both conventional and emerging treatments.

This session is designed to create a collaborative space where we can address these recurring themes. We’ll provide our clinical insights and experience, and we want to hear your concerns and suggestions to better support your journey.

Here some questions we are ready to answer:

Why can’t I lose weight despite my best efforts with diet and exercise?GLP-1 medications (like Ozempic, Wegovy) are everywhere. Are they a safe and appropriate option for weight management? How significant a role do stress, sleep, and hormones (like cortisol and thyroid) play in weight management? What is the current evidence and thinking around micro-dosing psychedelics for mental health, and what are the real risks and benefits? How does exercise specifically impact my anxiety, mood, and stress levels?

Robyn’s medical career began in emergency medicine, a foundation she now applies as a faculty member for the Resuscitation Council of South Africa. She transitioned to personalized care after recognizing that emergency issues often stem from deeper, underlying causes. Her practice is informed by her own lived experience with conditions like PCOS and ADHD, as well as qualifications in disability studies and obstetrics.

Toni is a physiotherapist with over 20 years experience. She is the clinical director of The Balance Group. She is intrigued with movement. Her goal includes not only treating the patients symptoms but more importantly finding the cause of the dysfunction. She believes that finding the persons’s movement faults and imbalances are the key to success.
