Start 2026 creatively, with an afternoon of drawing in the beautiful studio at The Commons, Muizenberg. Drawing or sketching are wonderful ways to inspire your imagination and de-stress. By sketching and sharing your works and ideas in a small group, you also get to connect with others and share constructive feedback.

I will introduce a nature-inspired approach to drawing and explore some ideas and practical methods to help get you started. We will use charcoal, pencil, and pastels to create one or more personal artworks, with time to share these experiences in a no-pressure, constructive space. Come with a curious and inquisitive mind! This approach to observing nature and drawing is a great way to engage deeply with your imagination.

All art materials will be provided - no need to bring anything!

Tea and coffee are included. Bring your own snacks, or get something at the restaurant at The Commons. There are various coffee shops and restaurants nearby.

The Commons Studio is up a flight of stairs, with no easy wheelchair access. Please consider this when booking.

This workshop is limited to adults. Get a group of your friends or colleagues together and make it a social art event, or come and meet new people.

About your facilitator, Marc: Art and music have always been close to my heart, and being creative is a large part of my life and meaning. I’m inspired by bringing people, creativity, imagination, and nature together and seeing what grows.
