This event is more than a fundraiser — it’s a moment of reflection, resistance, and reimagining.

THE CAUSEThis unique fundraising event is a collaboration between two vital organisations that are working tirelessly to restore dignity, heal trauma, and uplift communities — locally and abroad.Healthcare Workers 4 Palestine - South Africa (HCW4P-SA) is an advocacy group focused on addressing Israel’s deliberate targeting of civilians and healthcare workers (HCWs), and the systematic destruction of Palestinian healthcare and civil infrastructure. We aim to address these issues from a humanitarian perspective, offering solidarity and advocacy, supporting aid efforts to the Palestinian people and their healthcare sector. We engage with HCWs and the general public locally and internationally, raising awareness to complement the efforts of other local and international Palestine solidarity and aid organisations. Our politics is focused within the realm of healthcare issues locally and in Palestine.Vision: Supporting a healthcare sector in a liberated Palestine that has achieved dignity and self-determination, with justice, peace and equal rights for all. Our Palestinian colleagues will enjoy the freedom to create the conditions that maximise their physical, mental and social well-being, without threat, and with the support of the global community.Mission: We respond to the Palestinian call, collaborating with HCWs and organisations locally, in Palestine and around the world, HCW4P-SA engages in advocacy to mobilise HCWs , stakeholders and the public, to support and act in solidarity with the people of Palestine and offer assistance to them in the rebuilding of their healthcare systems and infrastructure. The Trauma Centre for Survivors of Violence and Torture Trust, based in District Six, Cape Town, has spent decades helping South African communities recover from collective violence, war, and systemic injustice - especially during and after apartheid. Vision: Our vision is a non-violent society with respect for human rightsOur Programmes: Currently the organisation offers counselling victims of crime and gender -based violence on the Cape Flats; offers training programmes in Trauma Support Work and Trauma Bereavement; develops and implements Violence Prevention programmes, advocates for Human Rights and collaborates with research institutions to contribute to indigenous knowledge in the field of mental health.

This event aims to bridge our struggles, amplify shared resilience, and raise essential funds for ongoing mental health and trauma support.
