Celebrate Christmas in July at The Wild Fig’s Winter Wine Festival!

Join us for a festive weekend from Friday 25 July to Sunday 27 July as The Wild Fig Restaurant transforms into a cosy winter wonderland. Our Christmas in July Winter Wine Festival is the perfect way to embrace the season with delicious food, fine wine, and a warm, country-style atmosphere.

We kick off the festivities on Friday evening with a magical night of winter cheer. Enjoy a free-entry twilight winter market, live music by Matt Roux, and craft beer and brandy tastings. Sip on gluhwein and warm mulled cider as you browse local stalls and savour seasonal favourites like mince pies and spicy pumpkin soup. The evening also features a festive three-course Christmas dinner and our full à la carte menu — bookings can be made via DinePlan.

The main event takes place on Saturday 26 July, with our Winter Wine Festival from 12pm to 4pm, featuring over 40 carefully selected wines. To keep things cosy, we’ll have a large Bedouin tent and extra covered outdoor seating for your comfort. This is a ticketed event, with tickets available for R200 per person via Quicket.The winter market continues on Saturday from 10am, with free entry for all. Enjoy simple breakfasts from 10am to 12pm, and lunch from 12pm onwards, while browsing a selection of local crafts, artisanal goods, and festive treats.

The celebrations conclude on Sunday 27 July with a hearty traditional Christmas roast — the perfect way to wrap up the weekend. Sunday lunch bookings are essential and can be made via DinePlan.
