White House Boarding House (Bishops) will be hosting a social in the form of a disco dance in our quad and dining hall. This gives boys and girls in Grade 8 and Grade 9 (only) from mostly southern suburb schools an opportunity to enjoy each other’s company in a safe and controlled environment. There are a few measures we put in place to ensure the safety of the pupils. The boarding house staff (at least 6 adults) will be present and moving about and we will arrange further security in the form of ADT through the College’s safety and security officer. The police will be notified and will be on stand-by. Bags will be checked for drugs, alcohol, weapons, cigarettes and e-cigarettes, will be collected and will be stored in a safe area. Any form of misconduct (including the use of alcohol, drugs, cigarettes and e-cigarettes) will not be tolerated and the usual rules of the school will apply. Boys and Girls (Gr 8-9) who cannot behave themselves, do not adhere to rules or arrive under the influence of a substance will be asked to leave and their parents will be notified – we adopt a no-nonsense approach.The social will start at 18.00 and will end at 22.00 – sharp – on Friday the 21st of February. Online tickets (only) - this includes a drink and a snack.
